How I “found” a dead person in three places!
I have been a Private Investigator in
Australia since 1997 and my background once included finding people for a British government
organization.
Over the years I have owned a number of Private Investigation
businesses. Private Investigation work represents an increasingly small, but important, part of my business
activities these days.
One of my specialties is that of people search – locating missing
persons.
The most unusual case I have ever worked on was when I “found” a
dead person in three places!
A female friend of the deceased man wanted to know where he had
been laid to rest, however did not want to ask the family because they may have jumped to the wrong conclusions (he
was married with children) as they (the family) did not know of the woman. The client struck me as being very
genuine and honest, but in any case it was none of my business whether she had been having an affair. My very
discreet, and sensitive investigations revealed that the man had been cremated, with his ashes spread in three
locations special to him and the family. I cannot go into any more details for client confidentiality reasons.

……. and other unusual people search cases I have worked on here.
In my work as a Private Investigator I have found that my
interpersonal and counseling skills have been very useful. At times, I have worked undercover and whilst never
trained in acting, have taken to alternate roles like a duck to water. ( I just don’t quack like a duck ;-)).
Social engineering has been a key skill in dealing with “bad” people.
Being a Private Investigator has given me a lot of insights into
people, business, governments and the world in general from perspectives I would never have had otherwise. Sadly, a
lot of these insights have not been about good things and I have learned that the world, along with a lot of people
in it, are in a much worse state than many people would think. I have met a lot of people who dwell in the
“twilight” some good, some bad.
As I have developed spiritually as a person I have become
increasingly sensitive to the murky side of the Private Investigator world which is a minor reason why I’m spending
more time in other business areas. These days I still locate missing persons – some of these cases can be very
emotionally rewarding – and conduct Mystery Shopping | Secret Shopping, which tends to be more of a business, customer service and staff assessment
tool than a facet of investigations. In fact, some mystery shoppers are not even Private Investigators. At times I
conduct commercial intelligence investigations. I also train people in investigation techniques, and
provide investigation consulting services to business and private individuals.
And no, my name is not “Bond, James Bond”.
